Boudoir Photo Shoot

“Boudoir” is a French word used to describe a woman’s dressing room or private dressing quarters. At its simplest, boudoir photography is a style that captures a woman in a state of dress or undressing.

Booking a boudoir photo shoot can be extremely intimidating for many women.  We all face self-doubt and think, “Will I look good posing in lingerie?" Or "will I be comfortable and have fun with this?"  The truth is, if your booking with a trusted boudoir photographer like Sherman Orendorf, all reasonable doubts and apprehensions can thankfully be put aside.   Sherman and Barbara have been in the Industry for over 30 combined years and focus on making every woman’s experience classy, comfortable and fun! We inspire confidence that shines through; reminding you that beauty is individual and unique. It’s not just for the times in your life when you are young or when your skin is glowing. Day of the Shoot

Once you arrive to the studio, we have parking for our clients in the back!  As soon as you walk through our doors with your bags of lingerie and last-minute purchases, we pull everything out and decide what will look best in each available shooting area.  We have 5 different shooting sets to customize your classy boudoir photos!  Once we figure out your chosen areas and outfits, we will help you relax with hair and make-up while we transform you from an everyday woman to a sexy bombshell!

Once we have you made up and feeling like a million bucks, we have you change into the first look.  Everyone is at least a teensy bit nervous to start, but the nerves go away after we show a few beautiful images from the camera’s LCD.  It's important for us to show our clients how beautiful they are looking in the photos we’re capturing as we move from room to room.  By the end of the session, most of our clients want to keep shooting because they are having so much fun with the experience!

Posing

Don’t worry about striking the perfect pose!  That’s what we’re here for… We’ve refined this process to help every body type look flattering on camera.  There are some poses that will fell awkward or maybe difficult to hold, but it doesn’t show in the photos. You may feel like you finished a mini Pilates workout by the end, but it makes the final images so sexy!  We also encourage our boudoir clients to bring inspiration photos that they love of poses, make up or anything that inspires them.  We’re happy to accommodate posing and make up requests, so don’t be shy!

On Saturday, October 19th, Orendorf photography will be hosting a Toga Dress Photo Shoot, the location of the photo shoot will be at Lakeside Park & Rose Garden in Fort Wayne, Indiana

You will also be able to choose what style of dress you want Barbara Flye to wrap you in since the dresses are actually beautiful, long pieces of fabric. After selecting your dress Mandee Orendorf , from Mandee’s Designs will style the jewelry to match the dresses and you perfectly.

On September 15th, Jacqueline Sobotka and I, Sherman Orendorf, will be hosting a fitness photo shoot at Lake Side Studio 1416 North Anthony Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805.

The cost for this photo shoot is $100 to lady leaders and $150 to non lady leaders.
Each person will have a 30 minute time slot for your session and 2 outfits (you supply).
(Please plan to be there for 1 hour to give time for wardrobe changes.)

If you would like to watch Sherman and Jacqueline’s session, you are welcome to watch at 9:30 a.m.

This could give you some great insight into what to expect and some great ideas for posing!

During your session you will have Jacqueline to help you pose to your best potential.

I have the itch to travel and I think Saint Louis, MO would be an epic location to do a photo shoot downtown using the arch and city as backdrops! I am starting this road trip in Indianapolis, IN at 12 noon on Sunday August 4th, I will be driving my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and I can take up to 3 models with me. The cost of this road trip will be $250 per person and everyone will be able to shoot 5 outfits throughout the day and choose their favorite 25 images for me to edit. Skyler Marie Ryden will be hosting a 1 light workshop
at the 2020 1000 E 2nd St, Ste 2065 Dayton, Ohio
This workshop explains the complexities of off-camera lighting into the basics we can understand and use in practical, every-day shooting. In both the morning 11am-2pm session and the afternoon 3pm to 6pm session, (you choose which time slot works best for you)
we will be covering artistic nudes and Glamour lingerie.
Combining teaching, demonstrations, and hands-on shooting time, I will show you the technical aspects of using strobes with manual mode. You will learn what off-camera lighting can do for you.

Let go of the intimidation of flash photography. You will leave this workshop with the confidence and knowledge you need to take control of your shoots. 

Gear to bring Bring a camera with a 24-70mm equivalent lens or in that range of focal lengths. If you have a 24mm, 35mm, and a 50mm or 85mm range of lenses that would work fine. You won't need anything really wide or longer than 100mm. Bring extra batteries and memory cards. I will have all the lighting equipment on hand that you will need to use. DSLR, mirrorless, or M43 cameras are all OK to use for this workshop
